URGENT: Phishing Alert – Verify Recent Emails Before Clicking
What is happening: We have detected a phishing campaign targeting our school. Several internal email accounts have been compromised and are sending out malicious, unauthorized emails to both internal colleagues and external contacts.
Because these emails are coming from real internal addresses, they may look legitimate at first glance.
What to look for:
Subject line: Document for your review
What you need to do right now:
- Delete the email(s) without opening them.
- Do NOT click links or open attachments.
- If you think the email is legitimate, ask the person through a different channel to verify.
- If you already clicked: If you opened a link, downloaded an attachment, or entered your login credentials from one of these emails, please reset your password(s) immediately.
We are doing what we can to mitigate the effects of this attack. Thank you for spreading the word!
